  • 10+ years architecting enterprise security programs
  • Hands-on with NIST 800-53, CMMC, FedRAMP, or DoD RMF
  • Comfortable presenting to CISO, CIO, and AO stakeholders

Senior Detection Engineer

Remote · US

Build and tune detections that hold up under mission load. Own the rule lifecycle from threat-informed hypothesis through validation and post-deploy drift analysis.

  • Deep experience in SIEM/EDR rule engineering (Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic, or equivalent)
  • Comfortable with MITRE ATT&CK-aligned threat modeling
  • Strong scripting (Python, KQL, SPL) and CI/CD-style detection workflows

Lead client engagements through CMMC, FedRAMP, and ATO journeys. Translate control language into technical evidence the program already produces.

  • Direct experience driving an organization through CMMC L2, FedRAMP Moderate/High, or ATO
  • Authoring SSPs, POA&Ms, and audit evidence packages at depth
  • Bridge fluency between auditors, engineers, and program leadership
